By installing the SmartGmailAI Chrome extension or accessing smartgmailai.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including free and paid users.

2. Description of Service

SmartGmailAI is a Chrome browser extension that integrates with Gmail (mail.google.com) to provide AI-powered writing assistance, including:

• Inline autocomplete suggestions as you compose emails
• One-click reply generation based on email thread context
• Tone rewriting controls (Professional, Friendly, Concise, Persuasive)
• Writing style personalization (Pro plan)

SmartGmailAI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Google LLC or Gmail.

3. User Accounts & Subscriptions

Free Plan

The free plan includes 20 AI completions per day. No account creation is required to use the free plan.

Pro Plan

The Pro plan is available for $9/month and includes unlimited AI completions, reply generation, all tone controls, and multi-language support. Subscription billing is handled by Stripe.

Team Plan

The Team plan is available for $7/seat/month. Contact sales@smartgmailai.com for details.

Cancellation & Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee — contact support@smartgmailai.com
• No refunds are issued after 14 days from the initial purchase date

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use SmartGmailAI to:

• Send spam, phishing emails, or unsolicited bulk email
• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or discriminatory
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code
• Use the extension in any automated or non-human manner
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

5. AI-Generated Content

AI suggestions may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Always review generated content before sending. SmartGmailAI makes no warranty that AI outputs will be accurate, suitable, or fit for any particular purpose.

6. Intellectual Property

SmartGmailAI and all related trademarks, logos, and service marks are the property of SmartGmailAI. The extension code, design, and content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You retain full ownership of all email content you write. We claim no intellectual property rights over your emails or any AI-generated suggestions you choose to use.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmartGmailAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.
